Did you know that the average person makes around 250 decisions about food every day?
Questions from our inner critic filter through like…
Do I have time for breakfast, or should I grab something on my way? Should I have the carrot cake or the lemon tart? Should I eat all of it now or save some for later? And these are just a mere few of the daily decisions around food.
It sounds nuts right? But just stop for a minute and think how many food related decisions you have made for the day already.
Emotions, time factors, labels on food, external knowledge about what we should or should not eat, can lead to a constant battle with food. You enter the daily food cycle struggle and are in a constant war, leading to situations where you’re eating due to reasons other than just being hungry. Have you been guilty of this? I have!
There is a way to break free of this struggle, with mindful eating. Mindful eating enables a person to change their relationship with food. Plus research has shown that people lose weight and/or maintain a healthy weight by eating mindfully. Mindful eating doesn’t include dieting at all! No food is off limits. Since I’ve been practicing mindfulness, I have naturally lost weight and… I still eat foods that I love. Sounds crazy but it’s true.
As a high-achiever it’s important you fuel your body in the right way so that you thrive!
Sending you good vibes from my heart to yours,
